Our Mission

To advance inclusive climate action by strengthening resilience, expanding opportunities, and ensuring marginalized communities participate meaningfully in climate policy, adaptation, and sustainable development.

AKPA International was born in 2019 from a simple but painful realization. As climate change intensified across Africa, we watched droughts destroy livelihoods, floods displace families, and environmental degradation deepen poverty. Yet amid these growing crises, we noticed something even more troubling, the people suffering the most were rarely part of the solution.

AKPA was founded on the belief that climate justice is impossible without inclusion. Every person deserves the opportunity not only to survive the climate crisis, but to shape the solutions that will define our collective future.
